This course is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the ancient Taoist practice of Ba Duan Jin (Eight Brocades Qigong) — a gentle yet powerful method for restoring energy, improving circulation, and balancing the body-mind system.
TCM-Based Approach:
System Thinking:
The body is an integrated life system. Many local problems are symptoms of overall imbalance. Ba Duan Jin addresses the whole system — enhancing energy, unblocking meridians, and nourishing internal organs and limbs.
Daily Maintenance:
Regular practice (ideally every day) helps maintain smooth blood and qi circulation, supports organ function, and keeps the body in a healthy state.
Prevention First:
It takes time and effort to recover from illness. A short daily practice can help prevent imbalance, reduce the risk of health issues, and support long-term vitality.
Symmetrical Movement:
Modern lifestyles often lead to unbalanced posture and skeletal misalignment. Ba Duan Jin restores symmetry through balanced, full-body movements in all directions.
Smooth Flow = Health:
Most chronic issues result from blocked or stagnant qi/blood. When energy flows smoothly, the body can recover naturally. This practice helps keep that flow open and steady.
Organ Health:
TCM emphasizes that the health of the five organs (heart, liver, spleen, lungs, kidneys) is the root of whole-body wellness. Ba Duan Jin promotes internal organ harmony through gentle movement and breathwork.
