This course is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Taoist Qigong for neck and shoulder relief — a focused and accessible routine designed to release tension, improve circulation in the upper body, and restore natural ease through breath, mindful movement, and posture correction.
TCM-Based Approach
System Thinking:
In TCM, tension in the neck and shoulders is often a reflection of qi stagnation and poor circulation in the upper Jiao (chest, shoulders, and head). This Qigong sequence works holistically to relieve muscular stiffness, clear blocked meridians, and restore fluid energy flow throughout the upper body.
Daily Maintenance:
Modern stress and screen-heavy lifestyles create chronic strain in the neck, shoulders, and upper back. Practicing daily helps release built-up tension, promote proper posture, and restore healthy circulation and nerve flow to the head and chest area.
Prevention First:
Shoulder and neck discomfort often build up unnoticed. Early, consistent movement prevents stiffness from becoming chronic pain and protects against poor sleep, headaches, and fatigue caused by tension accumulation.
Symmetrical Movement:
This routine includes gentle, bilateral movements to rebalance the shoulders, open the chest, and align the spine — helping restore proper body mechanics and joint freedom.
Smooth Flow = Health:
Neck and shoulder tension can disrupt qi and blood flow to the brain and upper organs. This course improves energy flow to the head, lungs, and heart, relieving both physical and emotional stress.

In TCM, the Liver governs the tendons and the Lungs govern the skin and upper body circulation. This practice supports the liver’s function in muscle relaxation and the lungs’ role in promoting qi flow and emotional clarity.
